As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T* has activated a new mobile broadband cell site in Whittier that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses. The new cell site atop the historic Bank of Whittier Building in downtown Whittier will enhance mobile broadband speeds, enabling AT&T customers to surf the Web, download files, upload photographs and enjoy the very latest interactive mobile applications much more easily and quickly.

Built in 1923, the Historic Bank of Whittier is listed on the Whittier Official Register of Historic Resources and the National Register of Historic Places. The building is well-known for being President Richard Nixon’s first law office which has been replicated and is available to tour at the Whittier Historical Museum.
