Concours d'Elegance Sunday, October 2 in Glendale -- World Class Cars on Display

1929 Du Pont

Caruso Affiliated and the Petersen Automotive Museum will present the 4th annual Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Americana at Brand in Glendale.  The event which is free and open to the public offers an up close look at some of the rarest cars from the 1920s and ‘30s.

Highlight include the 1929 Du Pont Model G Speedster by Merrimac, one of only nine remaining, three of which are boat tails like the car on display and the 1929 Ruxton Model C Roadster-one of only four roadsters still in existence and powered by a 100 hp, straight-eight engine. The Ruxton is an eye-popping bright raspberry and orchid color-though unusual, the style is accurate for the era.
