AT&T LAUNCHES CLOUD-BASED PHOTO AND VIDEO SHARING APP

 AT&T Locker Offers Five Gigabytes of Free Storage

Never lose a photo again – AT&T Locker, a free and easy-to-use photo and video sharing service for AT&T* customers, is now available in the App Store.  AT&T Locker users get 5 GB of storage for free – enough for up to 5,000 average sized photos.

AT&T Locker provides users the ability to upload images and video to secure online storage and quickly share on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or e-mail.  Users can create and customize albums for photos and video on the device or online from a laptop or home computer.  Customers can also store music and other files in their AT&T Locker storage. The app is compatible back to iPhone 3GS.

Users can make sure they never lose a photo again with Easy Upload feature, which allows you to automatically upload the photos on your device to the AT&T Cloud. With AT&T Locker, users can chose to upload new photos and video via Wi-Fi, wireless or both. Customers can manage those photos and share them through the app on the smartphone or on the AT&T Locker web page.  AT&T plans to incorporate additional features in future versions of AT&T Locker.

TWO JERDE PLACES WIN TOP HONORS AT CITYSCAPE EMERGING MARKETS AWARDS

The Los Angeles-based Jerde Partnership recently won top honors at the Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets in Dubai for two Jerde Places. The firm, who celebrates its 35^th anniversary, received the Built Retail Award for D-Cube City in Seoul and the Future Retail Award for Kuntsevo Centre in Moscow.  I thought this might be of interest since the firm is located in Venice and is known locally as the architects of the redesigned Santa Monica Place. MAY-TREANOR AND WALSH JENNINGS FACE-OFF AGAINST LUCKY FANS IN HUNTINGTON BEACH

Photos by Laura Escudero Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings reunited yesterday in Huntington Beach for a friendly match against a fan and his designated teammates – his family. Mark Burnette of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., was one of more than 40 winners selected from tens of thousands of entrants in AT&T’s recent “My Journey” sweepstakes. This summer, AT&T* gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite competitors en route to London 2012 and a chance to win their own personalized prizes. Awards included signed memorabilia, sporting equipment, tickets to professional soccer matches and the chance to play beach volleyball against the gold medal winning Misty and Kerri, among others.
