Oscar de la Hoya teams up with AT&T for Boys & Girls Club

AT&T U-verse and Oscar de la Hoya delivered a knock out event for more than 100 young people at the Burbank, CA Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley.  In a sea of snapping cameras and excited kids, Andy Shibley, AT&T Vice President & General Manager, and boxing icon and President of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar de la Hoya didn’t disappoint with positive messages of working hard for your dreams and keeping up with technology. Oscar talked about AT&T’s innovation especially around U-Verse and the future of television.  The presentation culminated in a donation of $5,000 to the Boys and Girls Club, with free tickets to the upcoming boxing fight at the Honda Center along with popcorn, movies, and classic boxing matches courtesy of AT&T U-verse TV.

Oscar De La Hoya and AT&T Offer Exclusive Boxing Matches on U-verse!



Boxers Abner Mares and Sergio “The Snake” Mora of Golden Boy Promotions met with fans earlier this week at several stores in Los Angeles to launch AT&T U-verse EspanolTheir appearances promoted boxing icon Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions’ agreement with AT&T U-verse TV.  U-verse customers can now view exclusive boxing matches at no additional cost on the last Saturday of each month live from Mexico City!
“We are delighted to work with AT&T,” says De La Hoya. “AT&T U-verse is the finest TV viewing out there and it’s a terrific platform for our best-in-class boxing matches.”  The matches are broadcast in both Spanish and English.
In addition to boxing, U-verse TV Spanish-language customers can also enjoy several advanced TV features, including:
