COOL KIDS READ!
The SouthBay Pavilion in Carson will launch the “Cool
Kids Read” event on Saturday, September 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in an effort to
fight illiteracy in advance of World Literacy Day. Throughout the
afternoon there will be activities and entertainment and at 2 p.m. the SouthBay
Pavilion will attempt to set the record for the most kids reading aloud at a shopping
center when approximately 200 kids read aloud, in unison, from “The Velveteen
Rabbit.”
